Reynaldo Fernandes Cisotto Gianecchini Júnior (Birigui, November 12, 1972), known as Reynaldo Gianecchini or Giane, is a Brazilian actor. He began his career as a model in 1991, having participated in fashion shows and editorials until 1998. He became known in 2000, when he played the character Edu in the telenovela Laços de Família, on Rede Globo.

His debut as an actor was in the theater with the play Cacilda. In 2000, he starred in his first telenovela, Laços de Família, in which he played the protagonist Eduardo, a young doctor recently graduated who becomes involved in a love triangle between Helena (Vera Fischer) and Camila (Carolina Dieckmann), mother and daughter, He was heavily criticized at the time for his performance. He then participated in the soap opera As Filhas da Mãe, as Ricardo, a man who finds himself in love with Cláudia Jimenez's work friend Dagmar, and later comes to know that it is actually a woman. After a troubled start by critics of his work, with more experience and study, he has been respected and even praised in his performances on television and in the theater. In 2002, he starred in the soap opera Esperança, alongside Priscila Fantin and Ana Paula Arósio, receiving the Master Award for Best Actor for his work. The pair formed between Dante and Beatriz had so much chemistry together that Marisa Monte's song, Não Quero Ver Você Triste, was successful on radio stations throughout Brazil. In 2008, he declined an invitation to participate in the telenovela Negócios da China, claiming to be busy with the play Doce Deleite, together with Camila Morgado. In the cinema, the protagonist of the film Entre Lençóis still lived, as Roberto, a man who meets a woman who is one day away from her wedding, and in an intense night of love and conversation, tries to convince her not to marry. He was also present in the film Divã, a successful adaptation of the homonymous play for the cinema. Between 2010 and 2011 he was in the cast of the telenovela Passione, on Rede Globo, where he played the villain Frederico. This was one of the most important roles in the trajectory of the actor, who was a romantic partner at the beginning of the plot with the character Clara, the villain played by Mariana Ximenes.
In 2012, he returned to soap operas, at seven o'clock in Guerra dos Sexos, his fourth work with Silvio de Abreu. Reynaldo Gianecchini Personal life and relationships
Reynaldo Gianecchini was married to journalist, actress and presenter Marília Gabriela. The two met in 1998 and five months later were living together. The relationship was always preserved by both in interviews. The age difference between them – she is 24 years older, has been the subject of a lot of nasty comments. They broke up in 2006. He had brief romances with actress Christiane Alves and promoter Eloísa Alencar (with whom he had a romance in 2008 and was seen again in 2010). He has already been caught kissing with singer Preta Gil, with whom he is a close friend, and with Carolina Ferraz, who cheated on her Turkish boyfriend on a night out with Gianecchini.
In 2010, Gianecchini was accused by his former manager Daniel Ferreira Mattos, who claimed to have lived a romance with the actor and to have been presented by him with a penthouse in Barra da Tijuca. Gianecchini denied the allegations and filed a lawsuit against Daniel to regain possession of the apartment. According to Reynaldo, Mattos would have acted in bad faith, since the transfer of the apartment to the ex-manager's name would have been a way of making the purchase without exposing himself. In October 2011, his father Reynaldo Cisotto Gianecchini died of cancer of the digestive system. In 2019, Reynaldo stated that he had already had sexual relations with men in an interview with the newspaper O Globo. He later defined himself as pansexual.
Illness
On August 1, 2011, Reynaldo was admitted to Hospital Sírio-Libanês in São Paulo to take care of a chronic pharyngitis that, treated with antibiotics, caused a strong allergic reaction. Subsequent examinations, however, detected a non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, of the angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma type. In 2011, the 38-year-old actor underwent a chemotherapy session at Hospital Sírio-Libanês, in São Paulo, for the treatment of Angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma.
